Kontrabant's sound gravitates towards ethnic music but it contains vibrations of all varieties. The members of Kontrabant come from almost every corner of Slovenia, which also reflects in their music, making it sound like a mix of Pannonian and Mediterranean elements, dancing tunes from the Alps as well as classical and Balkan music. The lyrics are written in different Slovenian dialects, but sometimes also in Hungarian or in the languages of the Roma.

The merry sounds of Kontrabant invigorate the old, enchant the young, surprise the bad tempered and drive the party animals wild!
