Flag parade

Three communities (Gregorčičeva street, Maistrova street, and Koroška street) will design the flag for their district together with their mentors. The flags will then be exhibited in their district.

Firefighting museum: open doors

The volunteer fire department Maribor-City has been active since 1871, helping voluntarily and free of charge anywhere and anytime needed. The museum can be found on Koroška street and will have its doors open day on Sunday.

Museum of photography: open doors

Museum of photography Maribor (a part of the National liberation museum Maribor) is inviting you to their doors open day. See the camera collection of private collectors Marie and Avgust Bohanec who donated their collection of 1100 photographic cameras and 600 pieces of other equipment to Maribor in the end of the 80’s.

Koroška flag

Do you have a shirt that needs a makeover? Come and give it a screen printing in the ambient of one of the oldest streets in Maribor.

Border crossings

A proactive street action that makes you think. The participants find themselves at the borders of restricted areas. Three bureaucrats decide who can pass and who can’t. No one knows based on what they are deciding. The performance is in German.

Create a camera obscura

National liberation museum Maribor will show you how to make a camera obscura, the most basic optic device for capturing images.

Play and create

Play and create with Kulturni Inkubator, MKC Maribor and their artists, young volunteers, creators and professionals in the field of culture, sociology and youth!

Discover Use-it

USE-IT is a tourist information map for young people made by locals. It is free, non-commercial, up-to-date and non-profit medium for young tourists, exchange students, and locals who gain a new perspective on their city thanks to USE-IT. The project is supported by MKC Maribor and Hostel Pekarna.

Freak bike youngsters

Street musicians on bikes! Yes, you have to see this! The young band from Graz will be entertaining you in the Citypark and on the streets of Maribor from 11 am until midnight.

PaperlabApp

With paperlabapp family album ALL are invited to participate to make an fotoalbum. What there should not be missing, are family photos. They can be taken directly from your smartphone (with the paperlab APP), in the mobile darkroom tent put it on an analog photo paper and expose it to light. Together with drawings, texts, etc. they find their new place in the family album.

Dancing Ella

Dance group ELLA tells dance stories, encourages you to think and takes you to another world.

Street football

Do you remember the times when there were not many cars on the street and we used to play there? We will close Koroška street for a short time and turn it into a football field at 5 pm.

UGM in Living City

Two workshops will be taking place on Koroški street at 6 pm. The first is a clay workshop where you can make your own tripod, the second is a painting workshop where you can paint with acrylic paint on the big roll on the floor. The first 50 will get free tickets for children’s workshops at UGM.

The earth is flat

The Earth is flat is an exhibition by Slovenian and Chinese artists. Take a tour with Brigita Strnad, higher curator of UGM, and Enea Bronja Gajšek, pedagogue at UGM.

White Noise: Bojler editions

Moare alias Marko Čuš is a young DJ from Ptuj with many years of experience behind the mixer. He loves underground, oldschool house, but is also fond of techno rhythms, and experimenting.
